Police in Rivers have arrested a 43-year-old woman identified as Gift for allegedly biting off the tip of her lover’s penis during a domestic dispute in the Mile 3 area of Diobu, Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The incident, which occurred on Thursday, caused concerns amongst residents of Bishop Okoye Street.
Sources said the altercation began when Gift’s lover, simply identified as Sunday, requested to have sex with her.
But Gift reportedly refused, accusing him of using sex-enhancing drugs that unnecessarily prolonged the act.

According to residents, who pleaded anonymity, Gift’s refusal angered Sunday, who allegedly molested his female partner.
It was in process, the residents said, Gift allegedly got hold of Sunday’s manhood and bit off the cap of his penis.
Sunday’s loud cries were said to have drawn his neighbours’ attention, and some of them attacked Gift before the police from Nkpolu Division intervened, rescued her and took her into custody.
Sunday was then rushed to an undisclosed hospital in the area for urgent medical attention.
Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident on Friday.
She said the 43-year-old suspect (Grace) had been arrested while investigation had continued.
